Mia Serafini is an accomplished Family and Program Coordinator at Friendship Circle of Michigan, with a strong background in the arts and program development. Prior to this role, Mia served as a Freelance Artist, successfully managing brand development and collaborating with clients on diverse artistic projects. Previous experience includes serving as an Art Manager at Communicare Michigan LLC, where Mia created and implemented a new art program, and as an Exhibitions Intern at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, where Mia oversaw the handling and installation of artworks. Additional roles include Gallery Attendant at Scene Metrospace and Instructor at Painting with a Twist. Mia holds a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine and Studio Arts from Michigan State University.

The Friendship Circle provides assistance and support to the families of children with special needs. In addition to helping those in need, the Friendship Circle enriches its vast network of volunteers by enabling them to reap the rewards of selfless giving. Our affiliate, Friendship House, provides support to individuals and families struggling with addiction, isolation, and other crises. The Friendship Circle was founded on the idea that within each person is a soul, and that soul is the same regardless of any limitations that may surround it. That regardless of whatever natural gifts we may have or lack, regardless of what obstacles and challenges we may confront, our souls are sacred and worthy of boundless love. We believe that every human being, regardless of background or faith, deserves the gift of true friendship. Friendship has a ripple effect on the community, impacting the lives of all involved, raising the consciousness of society at large.
