George Whelan MBCS began their work experience in 2011 as a Sub-Systems Developer at Prolinx Limited. In 2014, they returned to Prolinx as a Development Engineer, where they were responsible for SharePoint farm development, Identity & Access Management solution development, Active Directory administration and development, and web development in a secure environment. George then moved on to Harmonic Limited in 2016, initially starting as a Consultant and later becoming a Senior Consultant. At Harmonic Limited, they worked on various projects, including a programme recovery engagement at a global recruitment client and a bid review role for a large service provider client in the justice sector. From 2019 to the present, George has been working as a Senior Business Analyst at FSP. In this role, they have been developing and promoting the competency of business analysis within the company and its clients, focusing on process automation software in the financial sector. Their responsibilities include benefit mapping and realization, requirements management, user stories, stakeholder management, user acceptance testing, and process mapping.
George Whelan MBCS completed their education from 2009 to 2013 at the University of the West of England, where they obtained a degree in Web Design. George has also acquired several certifications, including the BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, obtained in January 2018. In October 2017, they obtained the BCS Certificate in Business Analysis Practice, the BCS Certificate in Modelling Business Processes, and the BCS Certificate in Requirements Engineering, all from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Most recently, in January 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
