Richard Connell is an experienced process engineer with a robust background in biologic drug substance manufacturing and chemical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies since October 2018, Richard focuses on technology transfer and continuous improvement in contract biologic drug manufacturing. Previously, Richard held the position of Technical Process Manager at Johnson Matthey Fine Chemicals, where leadership was provided for API manufacturing processes and technology transfer initiatives. Richard’s earlier roles include enhancing production capabilities at Iggesund Paperboard, managing fiber production and packaging operations at Eastman Chemical Company, and serving as a technologist at Corus. Richard holds a Master of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds.
