Brandon Karpf

Brandon Karpf serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the United States Naval Academy since December 2023 and is an Operating Partner at Fulcrum Venture Group since February 2024. Karpf has a diverse background in leadership roles, previously holding titles such as Vice President & General Manager, Executive Director of New Markets, and Strategy Lead at N2K from September 2021 to January 2025, while also serving as Executive Producer and Executive Editor at CyberWire Daily during the same period. Karpf's military experience includes a tenure as a Cryptologic Warfare Officer in the US Navy from June 2011 to July 2022, focusing on Information Operations. Additional roles include co-founding a cybersecurity consulting startup and working as a Cyber Security Consultant. Karpf's educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an Executive MBA from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, a Bachelor of Science in Robotics and Controls Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, and Wilderness Leadership training from NOLS.
