Steven Downey, CFA, CMT, is currently the Head of Investment Management and an Investment Manager at Fundament Capital Investment Management, starting in August 2023. Previously, Downey served as a Portfolio Manager at MADA Capital from 2020 to December 2022, overseeing discretionary and non-discretionary accounts for 30 clients with approximately $60 million in assets under management. From 2016 to 2020, Downey worked as a Senior Associate at Holborn Assets LLC, focusing on client acquisition and investment research to enhance portfolio growth. Earlier experience includes a role as Business Manager at kidsFIRST Medical Center from 2014 to 2016, where Downey facilitated the launch of a new medical center in Abu Dhabi, and as a Securities Broker at Charles Schwab from 2012 to 2013, developing long-term growth strategies for over 400 client portfolios. Downey holds an MBA from London Business School, an Executive Program in Algorithmic Trading and Quantitative Finance from QuantInsti, and a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
