John Burmester

John Burmester is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in digital transformation and IT management, currently serving as a member of the executive board and Chief Digital Officer at Funk since April 2020. Burmester is also a member of the board of the OPEN RISK DATA Association e. V. since December 2024. Previous roles include Executive Director and Head of IT and Digital Transformation at CORESTATE Capital Group and Managing Director at Waterway IT Solutions GmbH, where Burmester was integral in establishing the company in the maritime IT solutions market. Additional leadership positions have been held at MPC Ferrostaal IT Services GmbH, Ferrostaal Technology Solutions LLC, and eFonds Solutions AG, contributing to significant IT strategy developments and project management across diverse industries.
