Stevens Lim

Stevens Lim has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Stevens started their career in 2004 as a Merchandiser at Future Shop and worked there until 2011. In 2010, they joined UAP as an IT Technician, providing technical support to the head office and store clients. Stevens also supported telephony systems and collaborated on implementing new technologies. Stevens left UAP in 2012.

In the same year, Stevens joined Ivanhoé Cambridge as an IT Technician Deployment, where they were involved in consolidating the desktop environment following a merger. Their responsibilities included updating Citrix Xenapp.

From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Nexio, where they held the position of Systems Administrator. Stevens worked with clients such as Buanderie Centrale de Montréal and Nexio Technologies. Their duties included configuring Windows Server environments, managing Active Directory domains, virtualizing servers, and migrating Lotus Domino servers to Microsoft Exchange. Stevens also wrote and maintained documentation for technical support teams.

Starting in 2015, Stevens worked at Vidéotron as a System Administrator. Their responsibilities included ensuring the availability of production and development systems, managing resources of VMware virtual servers, and maintaining the functioning of print and file servers. Stevens worked there until 2016.

Since 2016, Stevens has been working at FX Innovation. Initially, they held the position of System Administrator & Cloud Specialist before being promoted to AWS Technical Lead - Cloud Specialist in July 2021. Stevens Lim completed their secondary education at Polyvalente Lucien-Pagé from 2000 to 2005, earning a DES - Diplôme d’étude secondaire. Stevens then attended College Ahuntsic from 2005 to 2010, where they studied Gestion de réseaux informatique without obtaining a specific degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Stevens Lim has acquired several throughout their career. In 2014, they obtained the certification for Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 from Microsoft. In 2018, they obtained the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PeopleCert. In 2019, they achieved the AZ-100 Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Deployment certification and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification, both from Microsoft. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained the CENGN Infrastructure as Code certification and the CENGN Docker & Kubernetes Level 1 certification from CENGN - Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks. Lastly, they are planning to obtain the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2023.
