Joaquin Derrac Rus is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in developing and implementing machine learning systems. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at G-Research since November 2018, Joaquin previously held positions as Lead Data Scientist at Skimlinks and Senior Data Scientist at HarperCollins Publishers. Joaquin's expertise includes the design and evaluation of classification systems for merchant categorization and pricing strategies for e-books. Earlier career roles included data science work at Affectv and research associate positions at Cardiff University and De Montfort University. Joaquin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universidad de Granada, along with a Master of Philosophy and a combined Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degree from the same institution.
