Fabio Vinicius Rocha e Silva

Fabio Vinicius Rocha e Silva is a seasoned Senior Process Engineer with extensive experience in the aluminum industry, currently working at GAF since November 2020 after a long tenure at Alcoa from October 2008 to November 2020. At Alcoa, Fabio oversaw operations within a 230k t/year Aluminum Smelter, leveraging design of experiments (DOE) methods to enhance process consistency. Key achievements include leading teams in process management, earning certification in “Firing Best Practices,” and implementing methods that significantly reduced operational costs and energy consumption. Additional experience includes project leadership at Pöyry, managing a $2M budget for CAPEX in ALUMAR Refinery, and earlier roles focusing on piping systems design and engineering. Fabio holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from esteemed institutions.
