Nick Yam has extensive work experience in the field of quality engineering and research. Nick currently holds the position of Principal Quality Engineer at Galvanize Therapeutics, Inc. Nick previously served as a Senior Quality Engineer at the same company. Before joining Galvanize Therapeutics, Nick worked at Cala Health as a Senior Design Quality Engineer and later as a Quality Engineer. Nick Yam completed their education with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, where they attended from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Alabama, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.

In addition to their academic achievements, Nick Yam also holds several certifications. Nick obtained the Lean Agile Greenbelt certification from Lean Sensei International in November 2021. In May 2021, they acquired the certification in Medical Device Electrical Safety - IEC 60601-1 3rd Edition (Ed3.1) and Introduction to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Requirements from GMED North America. Furthermore, in September 2020, they received the Connected Learning Live ISO 13485:2016 Internal Auditor (TPECS) certification from BSI.
