Lars Jaeger has held various roles throughout their career. Lars began as an Academic Researcher/Post Doc at the Max Planck Institute for Physics of Complex Systems, where they completed their PhD in Non-Linear Dynamics. Lars then worked as a Researcher at Olsen and Associates, where they developed trading models and conducted research in portfolio and risk management. Lars later became a Risk Manager Hedge Funds at Credit Suisse and Co-Founder/Managing Partner at the Swiss Alternative Investment Strategies Group. Lars then joined Partners Group as a Partner before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Alternative Beta Partners. Lars is currently the Head of Alternative Risk Premia at GAM.
Lars Jaeger attended The University of Bonn from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a Diploma in Physics, Mathematics, Philosophy, and History. In 1993, they briefly studied Theoretical Physics and Mathematics at École Polytechnique. Lars also holds additional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst from CFA Institute, Commodity Trading Advisor and Commodity Pool Operator (Series 3) from the NATIONAL FUTURES ASSOCIATION (NFA), and Financial Risk Manager from GARP.
