John Walkom has extensive experience in leadership and governance across various sectors. As a Partner at Walkom Bros Pty Ltd since January 1983, Walkom contributes to the family's business operations. In 2009, Walkom became Chairman of Regional Development Australia Orana Region, a prominent organization focused on facilitating community and government collaboration for regional development. Concurrently, Walkom serves as a Committee member of the Regional Development Advisory Council NSW, advising the government on regional development issues. Additionally, Walkom has been the Treasurer of Dubbo & District Rugby League since 2001, overseeing the governance of junior rugby league in the region. Since 1998, Walkom has held the positions of Managing Director at both Techni-Clean Australia and Techni-Seal Australia, which specialize in cleaning and sealing services for hard surfaces. Education was completed at St John's College Dubbo from 1972 to 1976.
