Guanchu Chen's work experience begins with their role as a Senior Engineer - Co-Simulation Software Developer at Gamma Technologies, starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Iowa as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2017 to February 2023. During this time, they developed a multibody dynamics code in Fortran for off-road vehicle mobility prediction, enhanced a FE-based multiscale model using a data-driven neural network surrogate model, and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2022 to May 2022.
Guanchu Chen obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Engineering Mechanics from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2017. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2023, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Iowa.
