Jonathan Brown

Jonathan Brown has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jonathan started their career as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Otscon Inc in June 2003, where they were responsible for preliminary testing of prototype and trial parking brake assemblies, developing test plans, and documentation for QS/ISO certification. Jonathan then joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in January 2005 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant, where they supported undergraduate classes and conducted research in the shock tube lab until May 2007. In June 2007, Jonathan joined Gamma Technologies, LLC as a Project Engineer, progressing to Senior Engineer in December 2010, Staff Engineer in August 2014, and currently holds the position of Principal Engineer since May 2021. At Gamma Technologies, they specialized in exhaust aftertreatment, evaporative emissions, and engine performance application support. Jonathan'sresponsibilities included training new users of GT-POWER and GT-SUITE, interpreting and translating customer requests for new features, and supporting code developers in implementing these ideas.

Jonathan Brown completed their education with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, attending from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 1998 and 2003.
