Mike Schmitt

Mike Schmitt is an experienced Senior EMC Engineering Technician at Garmin International since August 2005, specializing in lightning and HIRF susceptibility testing for airframe hardware and TSO testing. As a Kansas State Advocate for the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics since August 2015, Mike serves as the primary liaison for local inquiries. Previous experience includes roles at Flexcon, where Mike handled customer service inquiries and order processing in line with ISO 9001 standards, and FluidTech LLC, where responsibilities encompassed inside sales and managing key accounts. Mike began a career in retail as a Store Manager at O'Reilly Auto Parts, overseeing payroll and inventory control. Educationally, Mike holds two Associates degrees in Electronics & Computer Technology from Devry University and Johnson County Community College, completed between 1999 and 2004.
