Jennifer Cannon is a multimedia freelance journalist with extensive experience in producing video and photo packages, as well as writing on diverse topics including local government, education, healthcare, and entertainment. Currently self-employed since February 2018, Jennifer also serves as an online content editor for GateHouse Media and has reported for the New Bern Sun Journal and Kinston Free Press. Previous roles include news director at TACC-9 News and various positions in customer service and veterinary assistance at Countryview Animal Hospital. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism and American History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an Associate degree in Arts, History, and Psychology from Lenoir Community College.
