Gateway Development Commission (GDC)
Jeslin Varghese serves as the Senior Director of Sustainability at Gateway Development Commission since January 2024. Previously, Jeslin held the position of Vice President, Sustainability Planning & Operations at GBRI from October 2022 to January 2024, overseeing sustainability initiatives and educational programs. A notable tenure at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority spanned from October 2015 to January 2024, where Jeslin worked in various roles, including Director of Project Controls and Director of Change Management, managing key projects and engaging with stakeholders. Earlier roles at GBRI and Weston Solutions involved leading sustainability efforts, developing training programs, and managing LEED projects. Jeslin holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the College of Engineering Trivandrum.

The Gateway Program is the most urgent infrastructure program in the country – a comprehensive rail investment program that will improve commuter and intercity services, add needed resiliency and create new capacity for the busiest section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The NEC is the most heavily used passenger rail line in the country hosting more than 2,200 train movements and 800,000 passenger trips daily. The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) is a single-purpose bi-State agency with Board members representing Amtrak and the States of New York and New Jersey. GDC is the project sponsor for the Hudson Tunnel Project.
