Gateway Development Commission (GDC)
Rebecca Z. has extensive experience in government and community affairs, currently serving as the Director of Government & Community Affairs at the Gateway Development Commission since January 2023. Prior roles include Assistant Commissioner for Intergovernmental & Community Affairs at the New York City Department of Transportation from June 2017 to June 2022 and Director of Government Affairs with the same department from September 2009 to July 2015, where Rebecca Z. also worked as a Budget Analyst. Gateway Development Commission (GDC)
The Gateway Program is the most urgent infrastructure program in the country – a comprehensive rail investment program that will improve commuter and intercity services, add needed resiliency and create new capacity for the busiest section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The NEC is the most heavily used passenger rail line in the country hosting more than 2,200 train movements and 800,000 passenger trips daily. The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) is a single-purpose bi-State agency with Board members representing Amtrak and the States of New York and New Jersey. GDC is the project sponsor for the Hudson Tunnel Project.
