Steve Mathiesen has over 20 years of work experience in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning. Steve started their career in 2003 as an Apprentice RACM at The State Group Inc. Steve subsequently worked at Convergint Technologies and Direct Energy Business, both as an Apprentice RACM. In 2007, they joined Siemens as an Apprentice RACM. In 2008, they became a Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic at CIMCO Refrigeration Inc. In 2009, they joined Gateway Mechanical Services as a Journeyman RACM, and later worked as a Lead-Hand RACM and Service Foreman & ACSO. In 2018, they were promoted to Service Operations Manager and finally became the Branch Manager for Southern Alberta & CSO in 2023.
Steve Mathiesen pursued a Diploma in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology/Technician from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2004 to 2007. Steve is currently enrolled at the University of Calgary, where they are expected to complete a Certificate in Professional Management between 2021 and 2024.

Gateway Mechanical Services Ltd. is a division of Vector Industries Inc. The company specializes in complicated mechanical installations that incorporate industrial heating or cooling design elements. For example, we design and install huge walk in coolers. We also have a recreational ice product that we export globally. Many of the top ice surfaces in the world were created by us. We service HVAC & Refregiration and Plumbing systems all across Western Canada. Food warehousing - Recreational ice - Natural Gas booster systems Count on us to design a system that is on time and on budget.
