Caroline Mitchell has extensive work experience in the education and community development sectors. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as a Teacher in the Hazelwood School District, where they focused on improving test scores, obtaining a certification in Reading Recovery, and contributing to curriculum revisions. In 2002, Caroline joined the Gateway Region YMCA, initially as a Program Executive - Community Literacy, where they successfully increased program enrollment, generated financial support, and established an active board. In 2016, they were promoted to Executive Director - Community Development YMCA at the same organization.
Caroline Mitchell holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Toronto. Caroline also has a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Webster University.
