Chris Reen has a strong background in media and publishing. Beginning in 2000, they served as the Vice President of Advertising for Democrat and Chronicle. Chris later became the VP of Sales and Marketing at The Oklahoman in 2004. In 2007, Reen was promoted to Executive Vice President of The Oklahoman and held that position until 2011 when they became President of BigWing. In the same year, they also took on the role of President and Publisher at The Oklahoman Media Company. Reen joined The Colorado Springs Gazette, LLC in 2019 as President and Publisher before transitioning to Colorado Politics as Chairman. In 2020, they became President and Publisher at The Denver Gazette. Currently, they serve as the President and CEO of Clarity Media Group, starting in 2021.
Chris Reen attended Canisius High School, where they completed their education in 1985. Following high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at the University at Buffalo and graduated in 1990.
