Jason Strickland holds extensive experience in communications and leadership within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, currently serving as Chief Communications Officer and Director of the Creative Task Force for the VA Rocky Mountain Network since November 2015. Strickland has previously directed communications for the Veterans Health Administration's Office of Community Care, overseen congressional correspondence, and led efforts in various capacities related to military and veteran services. In addition to current roles as a columnist for The Colorado Springs Gazette and Director of Communications for the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, Strickland has a rich background including positions with Booz Allen Hamilton and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. An Army veteran and experienced intelligence officer, Strickland holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from California State University-Sacramento.
