Alexander Shabalov

Alexander Shabalov is a Chief Economist at Gazprom since June 2017, focusing on project finance within the oil and gas sector and energy plants, specializing in deal structuring, negotiations with lenders, and project due diligence. Prior to this, Alexander served as Chief Expert and Leading Expert in Project Finance at Gazprom Investproject from September 2015 to June 2017, where responsibilities included developing financial models for infrastructure projects, preparing due diligence reports, and creating business plans across various sectors. Earlier experience includes working as an Assistant in the Corporate Finance Department at Rosexpertiza, where analytical skills were applied in financial projections and company valuations. Alexander Shabalov holds a Specialist degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from Saint Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics, obtained in 2015.
