David Sheng

David Sheng is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in systems engineering and cost productivity within the aerospace industry. Currently serving as a Sr Staff Systems Engineer at GE Aerospace since January 2018, David leads certification efforts for the LEAP-1B Reverse Bleed System and has successfully managed various engineering initiatives that delivered significant cost savings. Previous roles include Engineering Manager and Advanced Lead Engineer, where David optimized sourcing strategies, executed product cost training for engineers, and cultivated a culture of cost efficiency. David's diverse background includes leadership positions at GE Global Research and earlier engineering roles at GE Aerospace, Air2O, and Spirit AeroSystems, complemented by academic credentials of a Master's degree and dual Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan.
