Dasney Kirkland

Dasney Kirkland is a Principal Design Engineer at GE Appliances since May 2020, with previous experience as a Design Engineer in the same company from July 2014. Kirkland has contributed significantly to the induction cooktop new product introduction program. Prior experience includes a role in the Edison Engineering Development Program at GE from January 2011 to July 2014, where notable achievements included designing an airflow sub-system that significantly reduced critical electronic component temperatures and addressing housing warpage issues. Earlier internships at Boeing focused on structures design and analysis, where tasks involved stress checks and finite element analysis for various aircraft models. Additionally, an internship at the FIU Applied Research Center involved modifying systems for monitoring nuclear waste, and an undergraduate research experience included testing cyclone particle separators. Kirkland holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida International University.
