Carlo Perrone

Deputy Chairman at GEDI Gruppo Editoriale

He is an editor born in Italy in 1956, and is also a French citizen. Until 2014 he held 100% of the company that owned the main newspaper of Genoa and Liguria, Il Secolo XIX, one of the largest regional newspapers in Italy. In 2015, the publishing company behind Il Secolo XIX merged with the publishing company behind La Stampa of Turin, giving life to a new multi-media group, Italiana Editrice S.p.A. now part of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale. Currently, he has been President of the European Newspaper Publishers' Association (ENPA); member of the ANSA executive committee (National Associated Press Agency); member of FIEG (Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers); and a member of Sotheby's Advisory Board. He has also served as Vice President of the World Association of Newspapers. He is Deputy Chairman of GEDI.
