Syed N. Akhtar is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer and Lead Program Integrator at GE HealthCare since October 2016, Syed manages multi-discipline teams to develop advanced medical platform solutions and interfaces with customers across various imaging modalities. With earlier roles as a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on digital electronics and a Lead Electrical Engineer, Syed has successfully overseen major product development projects, realizing significant cost savings for the company. Prior experience includes positions at DRS Technologies, Danfoss VLT Drives, and American Superconductor, where Syed contributed to innovative designs in power conversion and renewable applications. Syed holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
