Vinay Gupta has had a diverse education history. Vinay first attended the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI) in Kolkata from 1989 to 1993, where they pursued a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Electronics and Communication. In 1986, they enrolled at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Govt. Polytechnic College and completed a Diploma in Electrical Engineering in 1989. Additionally, they obtained a Post Diploma in Computer Applications from SHRI VAISHNAV POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE INDORE, where they studied from 1990 to 1992.
In terms of additional certifications, Vinay Gupta completed the Executive Leadership Development Program at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2018. Vinay also obtained certifications in Cloud Computing Elementary Profession from Tuv Sud South Asia Private Limited in 2013, Power Gas retail and customer service from Enerdynamics in 2008, and Utility Intro to Advance metering Infrastructure – Level 1 from Enerdynamics in 2008. In 2007, Vinay Gupta completed certifications in Utility Network Operation, Electric Nature Gas business professional level 1, and Introduction Energy and Utilities Level 1, all through Enerdynamics.
