Genective
Marc Harper is currently the Head of Research Entomology at Genective. Prior to this, they were a Scientist/Study Director at American Preclinical Services, LLC from October 2019 to November 2021. Before that, they worked as a Scientist, Insect Trait Research – Research & Development at KWS Group from January 2017 to January 2019. Marc also worked as the Regulatory Affairs and Stewardship Manager, Regulatory Affairs - North America at Syngenta from November 2012 to March 2014. Additionally, they were the Regulatory Affairs Manager, Breeding and Product Management at Betaseed, Inc. a KWS Company from April 2014 to January 2017. Marc's earliest work experience was as a Senior Research Associate at DuPont Pioneer from January 1999 to October 2012. Marc began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boyce Thompson Institute from January 1997 to December 1999.
Marc Harper received their Doctor of Philosophy in Entomology from Kansas State University. Prior to that, they received their Master of Science in Biology with a focus in Plant Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Marc completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where they received their Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus in Botany.
Marc Harper reports to Qiaoni Linda Jing, CEO. They are on a team with Francois Torney - VP, Research & CSO, Renee Nowak - VP, Quality Management & Compliance, and Mary Kroner - Head of In Vitro Entomology.
