Benjamin Walters

Benjamin Walters is a Senior Principal Scientist at Genentech, where responsibilities include supporting early-stage research and discovery efforts with a focus on lead drug candidate identification and characterization through innovative high-throughput screening applications and advanced technologies like hydrogen exchange mass spectrometry. With previous roles at Genentech, including Senior Scientist and Technical Development Scientist, Benjamin has a strong interest in structural dynamics and its effects on protein behaviors. Benjamin also serves as Chairperson of the Board for the International Society for HDXMS, working to unite the HDX-MS community and facilitate the International Conference for HDX-MS. Benjamin earned a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania, where significant research involved large protein structural dynamics, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University.
