Cleon Rice

Cleon Rice has extensive experience in health equity and marketing, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry. At Genentech from May 2017 to March 2023, Cleon held several key positions including Director of Health Equity Strategic Partnerships, focusing on commercial, medical, and public affairs, as well as roles in marketing strategy, patient inclusion, and health equity. Prior to this, Cleon worked at McMaster-Carr as Operations Supervisor and a trainee on the Expansion Team, and served as a High School Science Teacher with Teach For America. Cleon's early career included an internship at Tufts University, where a notable contribution involved creating an assay for vaccine development against Cryptosporidium parvum. Cleon earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University with a focus on healthcare, strategy, and marketing, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Morehouse College.
