Dick Wu

Dick Wu is a Senior Principal Scientist at Genentech since September 2024 and previously served as a Staff Scientist at Alector from August 2017 to September 2024, leading various neurodegeneration programs. Prior to Alector, Dick held multiple roles at Stanford University School of Medicine from December 2010 to July 2017, including Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow, where contributions included significant research on synaptic physiology and publications in prestigious journals. Dick's academic journey began with a Graduate Research Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis from August 2004 to November 2010, focusing on ion channel biophysics, and earlier research assistant positions at Northwestern University. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.
