Justine Maller

Justine Maller, MD, PhD, serves as the Lead Medical Director at Genentech in the Rheumatology & Nephrology Franchise, focusing on product development clinical science in immunology since July 2020. With experience as a clinical lead for multiple trials, including the Phase 3 trial of obinutuzumab in adults with lupus, Justine has also held roles such as SSF PDC ION Co-Site Head and Medical Director. Prior to Genentech, Justine was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine, concentrating on translational research in systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease in children. Justine's clinical journey includes fellowships in pediatric rheumatology and a residency in pediatrics, complemented by an MD and a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Academic foundations include a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular & Cell Biology and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley.
