Marc Hafner

Marc Hafner is an experienced professional in the fields of computational biology and translational oncology, currently serving as Director and Senior Principal Scientist at Genentech since November 2017. Previous roles include Senior Principal Scientist in Oncology Bioinformatics and Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at Genentech. Marc's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Sorger Lab and a post-doctoral associate position at ETH Zurich. Additionally, Marc has experience in coaching, serving as coach for the Swiss Junior Women's rowing team and as coach and technical director at Lausanne-Sports Aviron. Marc holds a PhD in Computational Systems Biology, an MSc in Physics, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, all from EPFL.
