Yunhai Luo

Yunhai Luo is a Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer at Genentech since October 2022, previously serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Pipeline Engineer at Invitae from April 2021 to September 2022, where responsibilities included designing in-house pipeline platforms and leading production data management projects. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Data Wrangler at Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on functional genomic data and pipeline implementation, and a postdoctoral fellowship involving NGS sequencing. Additional contributions were made at UC Santa Cruz Genomics Institute as a pro bono bioinformatician, mentoring students and developing ETL pipelines for cancer genomic data. Yunhai Luo holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and Development from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science and Biotechnology from Tsinghua University.
