Michael Needham

Michael Needham, CFA, currently serves as Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations at General Atlantic since February 2024. Prior to this role, Michael was a Managing Director in Investor Relations at The Blackstone Group from August 2019 to February 2024. Michael has extensive experience in equity research, having worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from August 2014 to August 2019, and as Assistant Vice President of Equity Research at KBW from October 2012 to August 2014, focusing on financial sector coverage. Earlier experience includes a Senior Investment Analyst position at Prudential Financial, where Michael worked on liability-driven investing and pension buyouts, and a summer internship as an Analyst at BlackRock. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bucknell University, completed in 2008.
