Amanuel Haile

Amanuel Haile is a skilled software engineer with experience in developing user interfaces and systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. Currently serving as a Software Engineer Intern III since June 2020, Amanuel contributed to an automated checklist procedure for pilots and established an interface between the Ground Station and UAV. Previously, Amanuel interned at the same company in 2019, where responsibilities included designing and implementing a simulator in C++/Qt for a Detect and Avoid System. Amanuel's early experience includes roles as a math tutor and teacher assistant at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District and as a computer science tutor at Chabot College. Amanuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC San Diego, obtained in 2020, and attended Chabot College from 2015 to 2018.
