David Goodwin

David Goodwin is an experienced professional in the television broadcast industry, with over 26 years of expertise spanning various roles. Currently serving as a Field Avionics Technician II at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems since February 2023, David previously held significant positions at Sinclair Broadcast Group, including Senior Broadcast Engineer and Chief Engineer, from June 2014 to July 2022. David's career also includes roles as a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer at Sunbelt Communications, a West Coast HUB Broadcast Maintenance Engineer at NBC Universal, and an A/V Projects Implementation Engineer at NBC Universal, where responsibilities included maintaining broadcast automation systems and installing broadcast equipment. Before entering the television industry, David served in the United States Air Force as an F-16 Tactical Electrical & Environmental Systems Specialist. Educational background includes training in On-Air Television Broadcast Maintenance and Digital Media Editing, and earlier studies in Fire Science at California State University, Long Beach.
