Bob Buckingham is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in technology and military leadership. Since December 2003, Bob has served as Principal Engineer for New Technology Ventures at General Atomics. Prior military experience includes the role of Commanding Officer for the Reserve Submarine Maintenance Unit in the US Navy from December 2010 to July 2012 and the position of Executive Officer at MSRON 3 within the U.S. Navy Reserve from 2009 to 2010. Bob holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UC Irvine, as well as dual BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego.
