Jason Tobias is an accomplished Chief Spacecraft Engineer and lead for the TSIS-2 Spacecraft Engineering Integrated Product Team at General Atomics, with experience dating to December 2016. In this role since February 2021, Jason has also served as the Mechanical Design Lead and Structures and Mechanisms Subsystem Lead. Prior to this, Jason worked as a Lead Mechanical Engineer, overseeing mechanical design for U.S. Department of Defense projects. From 2006 to 2016, Jason held significant positions at Neumann Systems Group Inc., including Capture Subsystem Lead and Principal Engineer, where co-invented a patented product that notably reduced costs and enhanced scalability. Jason's early career included work as an R&D Staff Engineer managing laser system projects. Jason holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
