Anwar Hammad, Ph.D., currently serves as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Policies and Economic Programs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning - MEPsaudi since January 2023 and as an Adviser to the president and Secretary to the Board at the General Authority For Statistics since January 2020. With a strong background in data management and consulting, Anwar co-led a significant organizational transformation plan at the General Authority and has advised on data ecosystem structures during a previous role as Adviser to the Vice Minister. Anwar's extensive experience includes positions such as Board Member at Zewallet, Data Department General Manager at MEPsaudi, Consultant at Five Why Consulting Group, and Category Planning Manager at Procter & Gamble. Educational qualifications encompass a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Ontario Tech University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering from Ryerson University, a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from McMaster University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from King AbdulAziz University; Anwar is also pursuing an Executive MBA at Esade.
