Fred Seiler started their career as a Systems Engineer at L3Harris Technologies in 2016. Fred then joined General Dynamics Mission Systems in 1999 as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they refactored and integrated subsystems of a phased-array radar system, wrote and tested C/C++ code for new system controls, and implemented track control algorithms. Currently, Fred is working as a Writer which started in May 2023.

Fred Seiler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1990. Fred later pursued a Master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, completing it in 1993. In 1997, Fred obtained a Master of Arts degree in History of Science from Indiana University Bloomington.
