Emily Synk is an accomplished Engineering Manager at GE Aviation, with a tenure starting in April 2017, where Emily leads engine design and aerothermal analysis for various aircraft engines. Prior roles at GE Aviation include Preliminary Design Manager and several engineering positions from March 1996 to October 2008, including GP7200 Controls Integration Leader and Controls Engineering Manager. Emily Synk is also a Life Member and New England Region Governor of the Society of Women Engineers. Educationally, Emily Synk holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
