Mahesh Sudhakaran is the General Manager of Grid Software at GE Digital. He leads an outstanding global team shaping and leading the energy transition, with our customers and partners, by transforming the electric grid to orchestrate carbon-free electricity with mission-critical software and AI.
Mahesh has spent over two decades in the Energy and Software Industry across IBM and Schneider Electric. Before joining GE, Mahesh served as the General Manager for IBM's multibillion Energy Portfolio (Utilities and Oil & Gas Industries). In his decade-long career at IBM, he served in several transformational leadership roles in Product Management, Strategy, Sales, and R&D across hardware, software, and consulting services businesses. He is credited with creating IBM's Clean Energy and Sustainability business and transforming the energy portfolio into software-driven growth.
Mahesh is a recognized thought leader in Clean Electrification and Industrial AI. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and an active member of the Forbes Technology Council. He also serves on the US Gridwise Infrastructure Advisory Council and the Board of Directors for Gridwise.
Mahesh has a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, India, and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
