Matthew Davidson

Matthew Davidson, P.Eng. is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in mechanical and electromechanical design. Currently serving as Functional Manager at General Fusion, Matthew leads a team specializing in multiphysics analysis to support design engineering efforts. Previously held roles include Technical Project Manager for the LM26 program and Mechanical Engineering Manager at General Fusion, in addition to founding Davidson Engineering, an engineering consultancy. Previous positions include Senior Electromechanical Design Engineer at Genesis Robotics & Motion Technologies and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Cobham Aerospace Communications, where Matthew contributed to the development of advanced technologies in various sectors including aerospace, robotics, and marine mining. Matthew holds a Master’s degree and an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
