Chandra Ankolekar

Chandra Ankolekar is an accomplished food scientist with extensive experience in research and product development across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Associate Principal Scientist at General Mills since November 2024, Chandra previously held the position of Research and Development Manager at Balchem Corporation and Technical Manager at Kemin Food Technologies. Key achievements include driving innovation in grains, fats, and oils markets, supporting product launches for shelf life extension solutions, and leading successful innovation projects in the health and wellness segment. Additional experience includes a role as Food Scientist at the International Food Network, focusing on the development of Liquid Water Enhancers and evaluating novel ingredient technologies. Chandra holds a Ph.D. and Master of Science in Food Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering and Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology.
