Rene Strauss

Rene Strauss, MBA, is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Virtual Performance at General Motors since November 2012, leading virtual performance teams across various vehicle development processes, including thermal, aerodynamics, and vehicle dynamics. Previously, Rene held several roles at General Motors, including Engineering Group Manager for Body SMT Front and Rear Closures and for Seat Systems CAE, where responsibilities included design release, quality assurance, and strategic planning for cost and efficiency improvements. Early career experience includes positions at Florida Turbine Technologies and Lockheed Martin, focusing on structural and thermal analysis as well as durability assessments for aerospace components. Rene holds an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
