Vijay D'Souza

Vijay D'Souza has over three decades of experience at General Motors, holding multiple leadership positions including Assistant Chief Engineer for Hybrid Propulsion Systems, Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems, and Global Manual Transmissions, where responsibilities encompassed all manual transmission applications worldwide. Additional roles include Business Manager for the Transmission Sector at GM-Powertrain, managing design and development of the GM 6 Speed RWD automatic transmission program, and serving as a Design Release Engineer focused on automatic transmission components. Prior experience includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University, contributing to innovative research in machine tool technology. Vijay D'Souza holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
