Frank Poelwijk

Frank Poelwijk is a seasoned professional in biomedicine with extensive experience in innovation and data generation. Since May 2020, Frank has served as the Senior Director and Head of Innovation and Data Generation at Scale at Generate:Biomedicines, focusing on enhancing wet lab techniques to support machine learning models with high-quality data. Prior to this role, Frank held various positions at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, including Senior Scientist, where the research concentrated on using laboratory evolution and next-generation sequencing to elucidate 3D protein structures. Frank's earlier work includes consultancy at FL57, postdoctoral research at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Rockefeller University on evolutionary dynamics, and a visiting researcher role at the Wyss Institute, all underpinned by a strong academic foundation with a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Amsterdam.
