Hideki Shishido

Hideki Shishido, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist II at Generate Biomedicines, focusing on therapeutic proteins high-throughput screening (HTS) since October 2021. Responsibilities include leading multiple pipeline programs in oncology and other partnerships while overseeing three direct reports. Prior positions include Senior Scientist I at Generate Biomedicines, where Hideki developed automated HTS workflows, and as a Scientist at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where a novel in-vitro screening system was created for identifying small molecules targeting nonsense codons. Hideki's academic background includes significant research at Oregon Health and Science University, resulting in two publications related to Cystic Fibrosis, and a tenure as Assistant Professor at Soka University, which included the development of protein-based molecular machines and extensive teaching in various biology and chemistry courses. Hideki holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Soka University.
